Homeschool Activities: Fun With Cats

Updated: Aug 11, 2022

As a homeschool parent, you cannot get enough freebie activities to do with your little ones. To help kids enjoy topics like writing and math, we love to create activity sheets that include our child's interests. This set of activities is for your little cat lover. Please feel free to download, use, and enjoy. We'd love to see your child's artwork! Send it in and enter it into our drawing for a monthly book giveaway!

Literacy Building Activity

Have your little learner fill in the blanks to create their own special story. When they're done, ask them to read it out loud to you! At the bottom, ask your child to draw a line between the pictures and the matching starting sound to the letters below. Have them trace the letters in the order shown on each letter! They can do each part in any order they want! A downloadable PDF print file is located below the image.

Pattern Recognition Practice

BrainKids love figuring out patterns. Have your learner fill in the missing number to help the kitty finish her game of hopscotch! Bonus: Allow them to use a color pattern when writing in the numbers or have them color code the hopscotch board. You can cut out the cat and play hopscotch with the boards you've created! Brain Break Coloring Page with Letter Tracing

Creative activities such as coloring can both be a great way for self-expression as well as a much-needed brain break. Have your little learners color the page any way they like and then trace the word at the bottom. Bonus: Have your child create up a name and story for their cat!
